There is Nothing Better Than a Road Trip with Good Friends

I belong to a weekly sit & stitch group and we call ourselves "Patchwork & Prayer" we gather weekly to stitch and to pray for one another. This weekend we decided to take a road trip to a wonderful quilt shop in Trenton, FL. It is called "Suwannee Valley Quilt Shop" We had a wonderful time. They have a wide selection of fabrics and a small cafe where we had lunch. There is an antique store, with old machines, china, antiques, china tea sets, and even a chocolatier. We had a great time and I even managed to stay within my budget.

The turquoise fabric I found for my king size tumbling block quilt is just what I was looking for. I am almost done with it.

It will have about a 10 inch border all the way around it. I will share when it is finished.

I found a few other pieces that called my name, and you know you just have to buy it if it calls your name. I don't normally buy charm packs, but this one spoke to me.

We also went to the Levy County Quilt Museum located right outside of Chiefland FL, but I will post photos and more about that tomorrow.
